To the NDHS 2008 Graduates:
I would like to express my sincere congratulations to the Class of 2008. Earning a High School Diploma is indeed one of life's major achievements. Most assuredly, the glory of this moment is the culmination of sacrifice, struggle, and personal conflict. I would like to encourage you to draw positive conclusions from this journey and to extract affirming, constructive suppositions to serve as worthy companions as you embark on your next expedition.
We have been together for the last four years and some even longer during our days at Warwick Elementary School. We are all part of a community and we should seek to be productive citizens. Therefore, it is imperative that you lend your talents, skills, and abilities to serve in your community as well as nationally.
If you remember only one thing, live life with a purpose. Embrace these moments, for character is the byproduct of challenge. Life is full of opportunities to learn, develop, and grow.
We at North Dorchester High School are filled with pride. This is your moment, savor it but do not dwell too long. We join your family and friends with their expressions of joy as we too, congratulate you.
Again, congratulations and we wish you the very best in all that you do. I leave you with this quote from the noted writer, Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
Congratulations Class of 2008!
Vaughn D. Evans Sr., Principal and NDHS Staff
